A 100th birthday is a once in a life occasion, not only for the celebrant, but for the family members and friends so celebrate in grand fashion with homemade decorations and party supplies such as banners, games, invitations, party favors etc. No need to spend an excessive amount of money on party supplies when handmade party supplies and decorations can be made with a few basic arts & crafts materials. One of the gifts one can give are of the homemade variety. Party banners can easily be made from construction paper, long sheets of rolled paper, craft paper, craft foam, glitter, cord, string, tape, markers, paint, and a place to hang the banner.
For a stylish handmade 100th birthday banner cut out the desired numbers and text from craft or construction paper. Include a saying such as Aged To Perfection, Not Getting Older But Getting Better, 100 is the New 80 etc. Include a traditional banner with the celebrants name such as Happy 100th Birthday (insert name). The colors used for the birthday are up to the party making it but consider the celebrant as well. For a woman, use soft light pastel colors such as yellow, purple, pink, and blue. For a man, opt for darker colors such as browns, greens, black, or bold reds. If he or she has a favorite color or colors use those as well. Cut out squares or circles separate from the letters (tape or glue the cut out letters onto the squares or circles for a multiple layered look). Poke holes in the upper corners of the paper and place string or thin cord through the holes and hang in the appropriate area.
