4th of July History and Facts
The 4th of July, or Independence Day, is a day steeped in rich traditions - parades, cities buildings as well as homes, decorated in red, white and blue, baseball games, fireworks and bar-b-ques! Most Americans spend the day with family and friends, playing Fourth of July games, visiting with each other, and most importantly, eating great all-American foods! But all this is just a way to spend some time while waiting for the excitement of the fireworks. Frost the cake with whipped cream, slice the strawberries, and get to work! The strawberries are the red stripes, blueberries the blue stripes as well as the blue for the stars! Leave spaces between the berries so it looks like white stars are peeking through!
