50th Wedding Anniversary Party Planning
The golden anniversary, your 50th is coming up time to start party planning. This once in a lifetime event is a huge milestone, than not many people ever see. Make this party a celebration worthy of the event, but do remember the true importance of the event and focus accordingly. Mostly though, this is a celebration, and you should have fun.
First things first, any truly successful event needs a plan. You already have your theme, gold, now you just need the people, place, activities, and decorations. Your place should ideally be somewhere that holds importance to you, but also make sure any guests you invite can all fit in. Activities can be anything you want them to be, just remember some guests may fall asleep during sideshows.
For the golden anniversary the theme is gold as its name implies. So having lots of golden decorations around will fit in with the theme nicely. Now, getting golden items may prove a might difficult. If that is the case you might need to make your own with some golden paint or golden foil. It shouldn't be too hard; most craft stores will have the needed ingredients and instructions.
There are many types of decorations available; the standard fare includes banners, posters, wall borders, streamers, confetti, mantle and table pieces, etc. You will need some of the standard party supplies as well, such as enough cups, utensils, plates, napkins, and so on for all of your guests. Don't forget to bring enough food and drinks. |
