Banners welcoming party guests to the theme party can be made using a few arts & crafts materials. Go-go dancers were very popular in the 60s. For a 60s Retro banner, print out several go-go dancers on black or colored card stock and string together using brightly colored ribbons and strings.
The Volkswagen bus was a hallmark of the 60s as well and can make for a cool 60s Retro banner. To make the Volkswagen love bus, draw and cut out the bus from large poster board paper. Have the celebrant, if the party is for a young child, cut out his or her own colorful flowers form construction paper. Trace the flowers on the paper allowing the children to cut around the edges in a neat fashion.
