Bellbottoms, leisure suits, platform shoes, disco balls, all became a part of the funky 70s lifestyle and what better way to return to this decade than by throwing a homemade 70s party complete with banners, centerpieces, and other party decorations.
Represent all that made the 70s what is was by printing out clip art images of disco dancers, rockstars, disco balls, flowers, smiley faces, other 70s images on card stock. When the images are printed out on the card stock tie together using strings or ribbons and hang in the party location. Make one large banner that stretch around the entire party area as well.
Welcome 70s party goers with a homemade banner full of color and 70s vibe. Keep on Truckin’, encouraging people to take it easy and go with the flow was a popular saying. This saying and others can be used as the welcome greeting for the 70s banner. Print out 70s text and clip art on card stock ad paste on a poster board and hang above the party area. Clip art images or flowers printed out will help save time not having to draw and cut out the flowers by hand (but hand drawn flowers and images are always encouraged for homemade parties). Additional banner greetings can include the celebrants name such as Nick’s Groovy 70s Party, Nick’s 70s Party Be Here or Be Square, Lets Boogies Down etc. 70s and other theme parties make for wonderful celebrations so take a trip back to a favorite decade or place and party the night away.
