A party planning guide for American Idol consists of a few main items that every American Idol party needs. Below you will find helpful tips and tricks to make sure your party planning goes as smooth as possible.
1. Set up a stage: Every American Idol party needs some form of a stage. You can create one out of concrete blocks and plywood, or you can just set aside a space in a living area inside a house with sheets draping behind it.
2. Decorations: Be sure to use plenty of lights in your decorations. This helps guests feel as though they are in the spotlight and in Hollywood! Add some other decorative elements such as music notes, hanging decorations, foil and shiny decorations as well as microphone, guitar and piano props if available.
3. Have outfits to change into: Make different outfits and accessories available for your contestants to dress up in so they can perform at their very best!
A few things to keep in mind with your party planning are the age group the party will be for. If you will be having older kids, a light competition is always fun and welcomed by the guests. For those guests that are younger, simply performing will be fun and even placing them into groups might be even more fun.
Finally, make sure all your food and beverages are laid out in a fun manner. Try putting gold stars on snack trays, microphones on the table and more.
