Celebrate the joyous occasion of the Bar Mitzvah with homemade party decorations with centerpieces, party favors and banners. Bar Mitzvah handmade banners can easily be made from craft paper of Bar Mitzvah colors such as gold, blue, white, and silver. Cut the desired text from card stock and place the craft paper over the card stock and trim off the excess paper. Add additional layers to the banner as well for even more flare to the Bar Mitzvah banner. Metallic silver, blue, and white paper gives the banner a shine that will shimmer off the lights at the Bar Mitzvah party. Banners do not have to hang horizontal but vertical as well. Cut out the lettering from card stock and string together vertically by punching the holes in the top and bottom of each of the card stock lettering. Use Hebrew-style lettering instead of the standard text is also an option. Cut out various Jewish symbols such as the Star of David, menorah, Hamesh Hand, dreidel and others from card stock and decorate as necessary. Place the symbols, one before and one after the text in the banner. For theme Bar Mitzvah parties, create a banner that reflect the particular theme also. For example, a sports theme Bar Mitzvah can have various sports balls cut out with the text placed over the cut out footballs, baseballs, basketballs, etc. No matter the theme, a quality home banner can be made with minimal artistic ability and know-how. |
