Barbecue Party Planning
Everyone loves a good barbecue, but you can bet it takes a little party planning to get things just right. After all, that meat needs a long time to cook. You'll be prepping the food for this event days in advance to get just the right flavor and tenderness. If you feel up to this tremendous task though, the guests will love you. In fact, you'll probably be crowned the barbecue master of the neighborhood.
Buy your meat a few days before the actual party. This way if anything needs thawing it will have the time. You'll also need to check your grill and make sure it's working properly and that you'll have enough fuel on hand to cook the food completely. Most barbecues also offer grilled veggies and the like to go with the meat or offer and alternative to the guests that don't eat meat.
If you like, well before the event try practicing a few new recipes. Marinating your meat takes about 12 hours. Plus, you'll need to work out any kinks in the cooking process so the event goes smoothly.
When party planning for the barbecue also take the time to organize your party area. The guests will need plenty of room to mill about, play games and to seat when eating. Barbecues are usually held outside so picnic tables aren't a bad idea. Each one will seat between 4 - 6 people. There are picnic tables available for rent from local businesses if you don't have enough seating for this party. |
