Bat Mitzvah Party Planning
Bat Mitzvah Planning Guide
Bat Mitzvah planning takes a lot of time and effort to ensure it is a memorable event for the whole family- especially the young boy or girl.
The first thing to remember is that it does take a while to plan and planning for a Bat Mitzvah usually starts about two or three years out from the actual Bat Mitzvah date. Time frame is important because your child’s formal Bat Mitzvah lessons will begin around one year from the celebration date.
Next, you need to choose a budget and stick to it. Pick a budget that is attainable for both the financial aspect as well as lifestyle aspect. You then will want to contact vendors and other service providers or even a party coordinator.
About a year out you will want to book and confirm the event at the location of your choice. You will also want to talk to your child about his or her community project.
Roughly 6 months out you will want to decide on decorations and party favors. You will also want to send out invitations and keep tabs on your child’s progress through their Bat Mitzvah.
About 3 months from the Bat Mitzvah celebration date, you will want to confirm your menu, guest list and send out invitation reminders. It is at this time that you will want to make hair appointments, etc.
Once you have completed these steps you will be able to enjoy the Bat Mitzvah and offer your son or daughter a celebration of their achievement and aspirations to do good.
