Birthday parties especially are a celebration of being alive and in the world, no matter the situation. There can be joy in even the simplest of lives. So you should make sure your birthday party planning takes this into account no?
Before we get into the basics of planning, let's cut to the heart and soul of a birthday. Bribery, no, I mean gifts to make people happy, I mean, to celebrate their happiness. Now, a well thought out gift will be exactly what they want, and also one that no one else got. This is an impossible problem if you don't conspire with you fellow gift givers to choose presents. After you get the main gifts chosen it might help to buff up the gift amount with small trinkets that are nice, nifty, and affordable to increase the raw numbers of gifts. It's an easy way to make someone happy, and that’s what's important, right?
Now when planning a birthday party, it is usually important to keep it secret. This can be achieved by doing the relevant planning off site. Then, get everything ready so you can throw it all together as fast as possible the day of the party. You will need to know who to invite, where it will be held (home is easier, but less secure.), what activities you'll have planned (depends on the person), what food (only most people want cake, I for one like pizza), etc.
Make certain to obtain the standard party supplies: streamers, confetti, paper hats, paper chains, plates, utensils, cups, drinks, and so on. |
