Chinese New Year is a special day for the Chinese and begins on the first day of the first month in the Chinese calendar. The festival goes on for fifteen days so party planning can be done elaborately.

Now for party planning the food, it should be traditionally duck, pigs, chicken and sweet delicacies made with Chinese recipes. The night should end with firecrackers. The children in the morning receive money in traditional red envelopes so specially prepare these envelopes and the parents slip these on to the children in the morning to greet the New year. The festival signifies happiness for all and a time to let go of your grudges so raise toasts to friends for the guests and much happy feeling be generated.
Red couplets and also some beautiful Chinese lanterns be displayed on the door frames. This will help the lighting. Give children tiger Hats and everyone can buy themselves Chinese styled coats. Let the decorations be with Chinese knots.
For the tables, use red and blend with gold and black for accentuation. For napkins, use Asian theme napkins. For decoration, use metallic balloons mixed and matched with balloons bearing Chinese characters.
