The Christening is an infant's baptism in Christian religion and has become something of an event requiring party planning and invitations for friends and family to come witness the celebration of a new life. In fact, a major franchise of sorts has sprung up regarding Christenings both for adults entering a new faith and infants entering life. You'll find that many retailers and stores sell Christening gowns and suits, the gowns for infants, both male and female, and the suits for younger children who can stand under their own power.
