Election Day Party Planning
An election day celebration takes a lot of party planning, especially when you are going to be holding a party for very large groups of people. That election day event will naturally be held to celebrate your candidate winning the election or your party winning the overall election. Naturally, you'll want to decorate in colors that represent your party. Let's assume this is either for a democratic election or republican election. So, your primary colors would be either red or blue.
Hang streamers from the ceiling, blow up balloons and hang them around the area. Hand out hats and noisemakers to the party guests. This will certainly serve to liven up your party atmosphere. The guests will enjoy expressing their enthusiasm for the candidate's win with these accessories. In fact, you may have to tell them to keep it down a bit!
Party planning should also include food prep for this event. You'll need to estimate how much food to provide for each of your guests. Usually, you can get away with one 3x2 inch slice of cake per guest. So, a sheet cake that's 13x9 inches will serve 12 people with a little room left over. Add to that a few deli platters of easy pick up food and you've got the buffet for a small election day campaign party. Most parties of this type also include champagne. The average champagne bottle will fill 6 glasses. Serve up 2 bottles for a party of 12 and have a good time! |
