Groundhog Day Party Planning
Groundhog Day is probably the only festival in the world which involves giving importance to an animal. So, the party planning for this day needs to be really different keeping the animal theme in mind.
Organize a fun party with proper party planning for the children with great snacks and games.
Groundhogs mainly eat green stuff especially green grass so to follow through you can organize a green lunch with Green punch made with lemonade with added color and kiwi fruit and green apple and grape juice. Then you should bake cookies and cakes with green food coloring added on. Green salad should be added on with green grapes, apple, kiwi, star fruit and honeydew melon.
Create a nice salad with lettuce, tomatoes, carrots and gonzo beans. Also fold in your child’s favorite veggies and the dressings he/she likes most.
Then make a Groundhog Day dirt pie with chocolate pie or their favorite pudding and add on a picture of a Ground hog on a Popsicle stick to show a hog on his mound. Children can color their own groundhog pictures. Show them a film recording in and out of his burrow to kindle love for this humble animal.
Simple menus are best for this day. Also talk to the children about the approaching summers and about hibernation in animals and the differences between the two seasons, summer and winter and what fun is looking at them this summer and design summer activities for them.
