Passover Party Planning
Passover day celebrates the exodus and freedom of the Jewish slaves from Egypt during the reign of the pharaoh Ramases II and this was an eight day observance. The party planning for this day is elaborate as there are many celebrations that take place and traditional Jewish food is eaten for a week, this goes on. There are special Passover games played. An extensive party planning is needed to decide and organize the food. There is a ritual meal that is prepared and this holds great significance so invite your friend for this special and traditional meal. It is called Passover Seder. Each food item hold a symbolic meaning and there are customs to be followed while you eat.
The story of the Exodus is also told. The house is painted and cleaned, as a part of the rituals, so give your house a thorough cleaning.
The creative items made include a Sedar plate which is decorated beautifully and displayed later in the living room. Organize a plate making contest for the children.
Play Passover games, there are several to choose from, like `Handsup` and ` Jeopardy`. Have many other activities for the children and play many of the traditional games. The décor could be gay and auspicious and you could have an array of deep colors to go with the solemnity of the occasion.
