A pool party is lots of fun, so add to it with a handmade pool party banner added to your party supply list. This decoration will accent the party in a really good way. The banner may be held up just behind the pool in the back yard, so that whenever pictures are taken, the banner should show up in the picture just behind the person in the shot.
Splashing water is definitely a factor at a party like this, so be sure that your homemade pool party banner is waterproof. You can use indelible ink on a long plastic sheet to be sure that the message will not run. To make the letters more perfect, you can buy or make your own stencils. Make the letters simple, though, so that they’re easy to read. And be sure to add fish, bubbles, snorkels, and a beach ball to your banner, as well. Anything you can think of that has to do with water or a beach, like waves, a seahorse, or a pair of sunglasses, are all great ideas for additions to your banner.
You will probably need poles to hold up your handmade pool party banner. There may already be poles in the ground for a clothesline. Or find two tiki torches perhaps left over from another party, if they’re tall enough, to hang them from. Hanging it from two opposite sides is preferably, but if you cannot do this, you might just need to nail it or attach it to something else another way. You might just nail it onto the side of the garage. |
