Celebrate the arrival of a new member, a new Red Hat Queen, or just have fun with a Red hat party with homemade party decorations such as banners, centerpieces, with all the Red Hat members in the local chapter. Red Hatters who love to arts & craft can show off their talents by making a homemade banner for the Red Hat occasion. Use red and purple card stock and print out a congratulatory homemade banner. Those without a printer may cut the banner from red and purple card stock as well. After the letters are cut from the paper, paste the letters on a card stock background and tie together using purple and red ribbons. Add decorative details around the card stock letter as well such as using white, purple, or red lace.
Perhaps Ruby Redhat, The Red Hat’s Society official mascot, will make an appearance in the Red Hat homemade banner as well. Print out Ruby Redhat and glue her on the banner, or better yet, print out several Ruby Redhat pictures and paste them to a card stock background and tie together. Punch holes in the corners of the cardstock and tie together using red and purple ribbons. Add some sparkle to the banners by adding red and purple glitter as well. Print out and glue Rub Redhat on cardstock, once dry, apply craft glue to Ruby Redhat’s hat and apply the red glitter. The same can be done to her light violet scarf and purple coat.
