Sixties Party Planning
Planning a party for the 1960’s? Well then all you need is love and peace...and of course our 1960's party planning guide! People who lived in the 1960’s were into conserving resources, by making their own items like tie-dye, bead necklaces, and head bands. Using these ideas, make all your party decorations tie-dyed, even the invitations. Tie-dying can be messy so in your invitation, ask people to bring an extra set of cloths to tie-dye in. Have your guests bring the items they want to dye like white t-shirts, shorts, or pillow cases. Love bead necklaces are easy to make. You will want to have enough beads and beading string to go around. Love beads are often made of wood. Create headbands by using fabric scraps that you can get at your local craft store. Headband material is often light and see through. Adding some rhinestones, beads, feathers or glitter to your headband can add personality and character.
After all your fun crafts are done, it is time for presents which come after the flower shaped cake. Since your guests party favors (the tie-dye) will not be ready until the next day, be sure to get their phone numbers to let them know when their items are ready. In the meantime, while waiting for their rides as the party is winding down hand out party baggies filled with smiley face yo-yos’, and tie-dye colored objects. Following our 60's Party planning guide will have everyone groovin’. |
