On St. Patricks Day everyone is Irish; and everyone will enjoy a St. Paddy’s Day festivity which comes complete with some spectacular handmade party banners.
Homemade party banners for a St. Patricks Day celebration should include timeless symbols of the fun, festive holiday. Taking a basic ivory banner, either paper or tulle, the host could pin on party supplies like foil, stone or paper mache shamrocks and four-leaf clovers, then perhaps draw on some whimsical leprechauns, tankards of green beer (if this is an adult celebration), images which depict pots of gold at the end of a vibrantly hued rainbow, and phrases that include “Kiss me, I’m Irish,” the classic “Happy St. Paddy’s Day,” etc.
A simpler handmade party banner for a St. Patricks Day celebration could be a basic green tissue sign with emerald-hued shamrocks stamped or painted on its surface, that boasts a friendly St. Paddy’s Day message. These could include “Happy St. Patrick’s Day,” “Celebrate St. Paddy’s Day,” and “Wear the Green this St. Paddy’s Day.”
A particularly sophisticated homemade banner could come emblazoned with a detailed map of Ireland, or perhaps a beautiful image (either painted or photographed) of the Irish countryside. Or someone could just draw a pic of a leprechaun drinking some green beer—whatever works!
Celebrate St. Patricks Day this year with a rollicking celebration—and with a handmade banner that is sure to make guests ‘green’ with envy. Here’s to a great St. Paddy’s Day!
