Thanksgiving Party Planning
Thanksgiving day is primarily a festival of harvesting. The party planning is also done keeping this thing in mind. To give that harvest feel hang leafy creepers made from crepe paper all along the walls. Make tents using sticks and bed sheets for the tent and hang animal masks and grain stalks on the walls and masks of native Indians.
Keeping the party planning theme as green will be the right choice. Also, put potted plants all over the house to make it look as green as possible.
Many party games are possible like a Turkey hunt with the hunter as the den who can go looking for the paper turkey all over the house. Then, there can be a mega hunt with every child making and hiding their turkey in different corners of the house and the hunter having a hard time looking for all of them. Another game can be that the children could dress up as Indians and pilgrims and deliver some appropriate dialogues or play some competitive game with the pilgrims on one side and the Indians on the other.
Another Thanksgiving activity that can be done would be to write to all the friends and relatives who are not attending the party seeking their forgiveness or saying thanks to them for being in your life. Team up the guests to play Printable Thanksgiving Party Games.
Have some dancing with Charleston, the stroll, the electric slide or Macarena which the elders teach the children. Plan for readings from books describing the lives of the Indians and their lifestyle.
The children be asked to write a letter to their parents for all that they are thankful to them for. |
