Woodstock was all about peace, love and music so welcome guests to the Woodstock theme party with plenty of love in the form of a homemade Woodstock banner. Use various Woodstock and 60’s theme images such as peace sign, smiley faces, guitars, the bird from the original Woodstock poster. Cut the images from colored paper (the more colors the better) and tie together using ribbon or string once the images have been hole punched in the corners. Tie Dying t-shirts and cutting out triangle squares is also makes for a cool Woodstock banner. If tie dying is not an option use tie dye bandanas and hang from the string. Woodstock banners can be made from large sheets of paper and paint. Let the inner hippy out and finger paint the banner with a multitude of colors.
If painting Woodstock banners with finger paints is too messy than a neater approach can be taken as well. Cut out the desired images, such as smiley faces, from card stock and place yellow and black glitters on the card stock. Another option is to print out smiley face images and apply the yellow and black glitter over it. The same can be applied to all Woodstock images. Use pink, yellow, orange, purple, blue, and green to color in the images, allow them to dry over night, then punch holes in the sides of the images and hang as the banner. String together a long series of images to ensure every corner of the party is cover in Woodstock imagery.
